1681 3 Lev 37 (CP). The defendant cut grass from land which he believed belonged to him, but in fact belonged to his neighbour, the claimant. Finding for the claimant, the court held that whether the defendant knew the true facts or not was irrelevant: his act was voluntary, and did cause the loss the claimant suffered.
