It is an offense to incite a person to commit any offense, whether or not the of fence is carried out. This is different from 'aiding and abetting' as an Accomplice in that to be convicted as an accomplice the offense actually has to be completed. Section 59 of the Serious Crime Act 2007 abolishes the common law offence of incitement.
