From Law wiki, the wiki for law research[1931] AC 333 (HL). The claimant amateur golfer bought an action in Defamation against a chocolate manufacturer, who had depicted the golfer in its advertising, with a bar of chocolate in his pocket. The House of lords held that this constituted a defamatory innuendo -- although members of society in general would not see anything negative in the depiction, to amateur sportsmen it might appear Tolley had been accepting money from the defendant for advertising.Contributors This page was last modified on 23 December 2011, at 07:11.This page has been accessed 3,760 times.
